Goju-Ryu SeiWaKai

Shuji Tasaki
Shuji Tasaki Shihan
Shuji Tasaki Shihan was born January 20, 1933 in Tokyo, Japan.  In 1952 he began training in Goju-Ryu under the strict tutelage of Gogen Yamaguchi Shihan.

Shihan Tasaki left Gogen Yamaguchi's organization in 1972 to form the SeiWaKai. In 1986, Shihan Tasaki aquired the rank of JKF Goju Kai 8th Dan, Hanshi and in 2009 he aquired the rank of JKF Goju Kai 9th Dan, Hanshi.
Hanshi Tasaki is currently President, Chief Instructor, and Grandmaster of the Seiwa Kai which operates in over 50 countries. In Addition, Hanshi Tasaki serves as JKF Goju Kai Deputy Chief of Board of Directors, a Central Examiner and a Manager of Kanto Region.
Seiichi Fujuwara
Seiichi Fujiwara Shihan

Seiichi Fujiwara Shihan was born in 1950.  He began his training in Gojuryu under Gogen Yamaguchi Shihan.

Today he has earned the ranks of 8th Dan JKF Gojukai, 8th Dan Seiwakai Gojuryu and 7th Dan Japan Karatedo Federation. Fujiwara Sensei is also a Director and Coach of Akita Karatedo Federation Gojukai.

He serves as a senior member of the Overseas Committee for the JKF Gojukai and is Vice President of the Gojuryu Karatedo Seiwakai Association, one of the largest Gojuryu Karatedo Associations in the world. He serves as a JKF Gojukai Overseas Director.

He makes 3 - 4 trips each year to coach mainly Europe and America. Currently his students number over 8,500 and in his home region, Omagari City he instructs 150 students at the 7 branches. He also instructs High School students at the Omagari Tachidake Gymnasium (Budokan). Currently his SeiWaKai Akita Omagari Dojo (Honbu Dojo) is located at 18-5 Wakatake-cho, Omagari-shi, Akita-ken, Japan.

Isao Yabunaka Shihan
Isao Yabunaka Shihan

Isao Yabunaka Shihan began his study of karate with Gogen Yamaguchi. He was also a student of Hanshi Shuji Tasaki, founder of Goju-ryu SeiWaKai.

In 1971, Yabunaka travelled to Canada (Vancouver, British Columbia) and in 1972, upon attaining the rank of Shidoin (3rd Dan, Instructor License) and started the first SeiWaKai dojo at the Renfrew Community Center. In 1975, Yabunaka was promoted to Jokyo (4th Dan), and in 1978, he achieved the rank of 5th Dan, Shihan, Renshi (Full Licensed Instructor, 1st level Master Title).

1989, Shihan Yabunaka moved to Ingersoll, Ontario and established the dojo at Cami Recreational Centre, where he currently teaches.
 

Shihan Yabunaka currently oversees all SeiWaKai dojos across Canada with a US branch located in Houston, Texas. Yabunaka Shihan also serves on the Technical Committe of Karate Ontario and is dedicated to the continuous development of standards of excellence in karate.

Shihan Yabunaka currently holds the rank of 7th Dan, Kyoshi (2nd level Master Title) and is Shihan McMains' direct instructor
